This class investigates the changing social, political, and economic atmosphere in America from the mid 1700s until today. In this class, you will read documents from the past and discuss their impact on American history then and now.

Oliver is an 8th grade student at Lawson Middle School. He has taught two sessions of US history in the past. He has actively participated in speech and debate for over two years, and is an National Junior Honor Society member. In his spare time, Oliver plays competitive soccer and volleyball. He enjoys reading, especially history, and wants to help more students enjoy history and discussions around it.
Tim is a 7th grade student at Miller Middle School. He was Oliver's teaching assisant for Oliver's U.S. History class last semester. Tim is very interested in history, and he is knowledgable about the subject. Tim is also on the Miller Science Olympiad Team, placing second and fourth in the Science Olympiad California state competition. He has also been on the AMC 8 Honor Roll for two years. Tim is excited to work with his students!
